If you’ve ever found yourself digging through old emails for a Rockwell software activation key or calling support to locate a serial number, this update is for you.
At the end of July 2025, Rockwell Automation is launching a new Manage License experience within myRockwellAutomation. This upgrade replaces the old "View License" functionality in the Commerce Portal and is designed to give users and administrators a clearer, more self-service approach to license management.

This is more than just a cosmetic update. The new system reduces friction for everyone involved, making it easier to troubleshoot issues, assign software, and stay compliant. For those of us who’ve fielded frantic “I can’t find my key” calls, this is a welcome shift.
And while the new portal improves license management, it doesn’t replace the Commerce Portal entirely. You’ll still use that for quoting, ordering, renewals, and license transfers. Only the “View License” functionality is moving.
